Don't call it a comeback

I've been here for YEARS!!!

Hello, hello, one and all.
Sorry I have taken some time off, summer got busy, you know how that can be, one day you wake up and its June 2nd, next thing ya know 2 mini vacations, 4 weddings, a red sox game, fireworks, and some BBQs later the leaves are changing colors.

Well here we are and fall is upon us.  Some of you may be looking forward to football season, than hanging out, watching games, eating all types of nachos and drinking beers.  Even if you don't watch a lot of the NFL you are probably going to partake in some of these activities with someone who does.  I caution you to be careful.  Between the beer, nachos, pizza, calzones, and whatever other munchies you enjoy you could be taking in a half a weeks worth of calories in one day.  This is an issue for anyone trying to maintain a waistline smaller than the equator.

My suggestion to you would be give yourself some guidelines.  If you must drink some beers make an allowance, maybe 2, or 3 and that's all.  Try to snack on something a bit healthier, veggies and dip, or fruit, or just chips and salsa is MUCH better than chips with salsa smothered in melted cheese with black beans, sour cream, and whatever other bits of goodness you like to throw on top.  As always make the smarter choices, you can still enjoy the tradtition of the NFL season just try to do it a bit smarter this year.  This post obviously doesnt have to be limited to just NFL watchers, the fall seems to be a time when people start to hybernate and start to snack themselves right through the depression of daylight savings DONT DO IT!!!

We have a lot coming up in the future as far as posts.  I also want to extend to any reader the invitation to write in on the comment section with suggestions of topics that you may be looking for or inquiring about.

Thanks everyone its good to be back!!!

  2. Ugh!!! Since we moved I have only been biking, and using my biking as an excuse to not workout. Yeah I've been biking 16 miles a day now, but now I feel like I really should be doing MORE. I know I have to get back into things and I guess I have to suck it up and get 'er done!
