There's something fishy going on....

Most health professionals will not argue the fact that fish oils, containing Omega 3, 6, or 9, or any combination of those, have a wide variety of health benefits for everyone.  I just so happen to agree with these so called "health professionals."  Let's talk about some reasons why you should start taking fish oils if you haven't already, and if you do, why you should continue.

Heart
By helping reduce the risk of arrhythmias and sudden death by a heart attack.
Brain
Better brain function though more efficient neurotransmitters leading to improved concentration, memory, less likelihood of depression and reduced risk of ADHD in children.
Cholesterol & Triglycerides
By lowering triglycerides and help balancing your cholesterol. This is important for people like me who have a love affair with eggs!
Joints and Arthritis
Better joint function from reduced inflammation and a reduction in pain.  All you people with achy joints, join the fish oil party, there's plenty of room.
Skin and Beauty
Improves the health and appearance of your skin, helps keep nails strong, as well as your hair healthy and shiny.
Immune system and cancer
A stronger immune system, proven to be beneficial for the body's immune function, lowered risk of breast and prostate cancer.  Seems like a good enough reason in itself no?
Vision
Improved eye focus, color perception, and vision clarity.
Digestive system
By improving intestinal health and reducing inflammation assisting those with IBS or Crohn's Disease.
Allergies
Omega-3 fatty acid intake by mothers during pregnancy may protect babies against the development of allergies.  It may help people with existing allergies. So all you pregnant soon to be mothers out there, get on your game.
Diabetes
Fish oil enhances insulin secretion from beta cells in the pancreas, regulating blood sugar levels. DHA plays a protective role in diabetic neuropathy in all forms of diabetes.
My oils can help you!
Fish oil is packed with a variety of beneficial nutrients including omega-3 EFAs (essential fatty acids) ranging in d functional properties for many different important parts of the body.
The body cannot produce these omega-3 EFAs on its own. They need to be taken into the body through food and dietary supplements known to contain high levels of omega-3.  That's where taking it as a supplement comes in.
So start taking fish oils people, or if you already do, keep it up.  You can find them at a wide variety of stores, ranging from your local supermarket, to Walgreens or CVS, and for a higher quality product look to GNC, or Vitamine Shop, or some other store that specializes in supplements.
PS If you find that you are having fishy burps as a result of taking the pills, make sure you take them either just before eating, or while you are eating, I like to take mine with breakfast AND dinner to spread the love out throughout the day.  That is all for now, check back in soon!

  1. Nice benefits.... I think I have a decent amount in the vitamins I do take, but maybe someone I live with will benefit from the other health benefits. I feel an experiment coming... I also have a question: did you mean that it is not good to eat eggs as often? I heard that the amount of cholesterol in the yolk is not sufficient enough to affect cholesterol in the body.

  2. ash, what I mean w the egg comment is I eat 4 eggs a day every day without fail. So I need some counter balancing for that.

  3. Another trick to try if the fish oil repeats on you is to store it in the freezer or take it before going to sleep.
