Spring is here

As spring arrives (even though you can't tell by the temperature), people tend to wear fewer clothes.

This generally gets people to start thinking about their fitness and appearance. Well, if you're just starting to try to make changes here, are a few easy tips to follow.
  1. Drink two big glasses of water right away when you wake up in the morning. This rehydrates you from all the water you lost while sleeping, as well as kick-starts your metabolism.
  2. Instead of snacking on not-so-healthy choices such as Easter candy, try nuts. Almonds and cashews are good, but limit yourself to 15 at a time and about 30 a day: they are high in fat. (It's good fat, but fat nonetheless.) They are filling and delicious.
  3. Take the stairs. We all make decisions everyday that could benefit us. Instead of the elevator or escalator, take the stairs, or park a little farther away from the store you are about to go into. Little choices like these can add up.
